I’ve finished making my first monthly Bullet Journal flip-through. I can tell you one thing for sure, it is different from other Bullet Journals. You see, I’m a Christian and that means I have a Christian Bullet Journal. Well sort-of…
I mean, a Bullet Journal is an inanimate object, it can’t be a Christian. But a Bullet Journal tends to reflect the personality of it’s creator. Since I am a Christian, my bullet journal will reflect that.
If you don’t know what a Bullet Journal is, take a look at my post on the topic.
Christian Bullet Journal in the Halloween month
The first struggle I had was creating a cover page for October. When I went looking for inspiration, I found a lot of Halloween themed spreads. I do not celebrate Halloween anymore. I have been growing a lot in my spiritual life and for the first time ever I felt an uneasiness in my soul about the holiday.
I replaced the Halloween spread with Psalm 62:5. It reads: “Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him”.
I also stuck a few flower stickers on my first page. I don’t normally use stickers in my Bullet Journal.
Monthly overview for October
My monthly overview was pretty standard. I only had a few major events happening this month.
- I took my daughter, Brynn, for her 14-month checkup at the clinic.
- Mark and I updated our Will.
- Mark drove a young man in our church and his date to the Matric Farewell (Grade 12 Farewell Prom)
- I had a coffee date with a friend.
- Mark went with the same young man to a Father & Son event held at the school.
- We re-launched our website Bloemfontein Tourism
- Mark and I attended the Global Leadership Summit
- There was a great worship night held in a small town called Petrusburg. Mark shared his testimony.
- And my mom went for her annual cancer check-up. She is a cancer survivor and so far there has been no relapse.
I did not complete 2 of my goals for the month.
I do not weigh 52kg – but I have dropped to 56kg, that is a 1kg loss.
We also did not manage to earn our goal amount on AdSense revenue, but that is okay. Better luck next time!
Health and Fitness monthly review
This month I tried something new with my health and fitness tracking. I created a steps tracker and water tracker. My aim was to try and drink 8 glasses of water a day and walk 10000 steps every day. This month turned out to be the benchmark month.
I have been able to reach 10,000+ steps 8 days of the month, and drink 8 glasses of water 1 day in the month.
When you have a bad month it can only get better!
I was also only able to do 1 park run this month. Not out of laziness, but because I had other commitments.
Prayer and Miracle Morning Tracker
In October I added my best friend to my prayer tracker. It is so strange how we sometimes forget that the people closest to us need praying for too.
I did fall off the wagon when it comes to filling this in towards the end of the month. I got so busy!
The miracle morning has been a disaster. Every time I try to wake up to do it, one of my children is either awake before more, or took forever to fall asleep the previous night. I suppose I need to develop more grit.
The challenges also didn’t go too well this month. The Halloween themed prompts didn’t do it for me, and I also was running low on time.
